Men Portable Gas-Mask: A new type of 'self-resouer' is to to tried out at seveb Gollieries throughout the country and miners will report their reactions to the resouers end m- suggestions as to improvements etc. The 'self-resouer' is a mask which weighs 11/2 lbs. and is held in place by streps to the back of the head and a rubber flap is gripped by the teeth. A Grip prevents the wearer from breathing through the nose. They will be carreid by the Miners for use in an emergency at such times a following an explosion when Carbon Monoxide gas is present.
