The airglow band has a sharp edge, likely as a result of some gravity wave perturbation from weather systems much lower in the atmosphere. It looks odd but is natural. . . Antares and Scorpius is at centre. Saturn is just rising left of centre in Sagittarius. . . This is a stack of 7 x 30-second exposures at f/2. 8 with the Laowa 15mm lens for the ground, to smooth noise, and one 3-second exposure for the sky at f/2, with the Sony a7III camera at ISO 6400.
