Stock Photo - Kenchoji Temple in Kamakura is the oldest Zen monastery in Japan. Construction of the temple was completed in 1253. Shown is the ""Sanmon Gate"" or the Main Gate, though its nickname is the ""Badger Gate"". According to the legend, a badger transformed itself into a monk and helped in building it.
