Stock Photo - Kilnasaggart cross, an inscribed pillar. This is the oldest datable Christian monument in Ireland. One one side it bears ten crosses, each inscribed in a circle in relief, and on the other is a barely legible inscription in Irish. It reads that Ternonc, son of Ceran commerated this place under the patronage of Peter the Apostle, 8th century.
