The case is to be heared on March 16th. Thirteen years ago in London the marriage of Eric Nissen a Free Norweigan soldier was dissolved by a Norwegian court on the grounds of mutual consent.The next day Eric Nissen's ex-wife married Terence Young a Guards Captain at Caxton Hall. In 1945 - Nissen said that he believed this divorce to be invalid since he and his ex-wife were domiciled in England and is could have been obtained only through it officials told him that they were satisfied with the divorce papers - and could take no action.But recently wishing to marry again - Nissen went to Caxton Hall for a license - and an official said 'I am afraid you cannot marry here we have a complaint on the files that you previous wife was never properly divorced - and we will need further proof'.
