Stock Photo - Mar. 03, 1957 - Mobs March on the Britain Embassy in Tokyo to Protest Against the 'H' Bomb Tests. Hundreds of Tokyo students and other protesters marched on the British Embassy in Tokyo with banners and placards to voice their indignation that Japan had been snubbed by the British Government after their appeal that the forthcoming 'H' Bomb tests should be abandoned because it may harm the Japanese people and spoil the fishing ares on which the people rely for food. Many police were on duty, but their were no major clashes. The students staged a sit down barrage blocking the gates of the British Embassy while a small deputation delivered their written protest to the Ambassador, Sir Esler Dennings.
