At least 1,000 militant women took part in the march which could be the biggest all female demonstration since the days of the Suffragettes. A petition was drawn up by the National Committee to be handed into No. 10 Downing St. for the Prime Minister Mr. Heath. The Petition calls for : Free 24 hour child care centre, Equal educational and Job opportunities, Equal pay now, Free Contraception and Obortion on Demand.
