Stock Photo - Marcus Salvius Otho, Roman Emperor, (c1590-1629). Otho (32-69) was the second emperor in 69 AD, the 'Year of the Four Emperors'. He came to power on 15th January by bribing 23 members of the Praetorian Guard to murder the Emperor Galba. Just three months later he committed suicide after being defeated by a rival claimant to the imperial throne, Aulus Vitellius, at the Battle of Bedriacum.
