Two flotillas are anchored in the mouth of the Helford River, near Falmouth, and it is estimated that in all between 30 and 40 vessels are bound for the Black Sea. Admiralty experts are examining the latest reports of Russian vessels in the area.. A Russian officer aboard one of the vessels denied that the vessels were there to spy on the Navy - and said that they were just 'fishing'.
