Stock Photo - Mequinenza (Mequinensa in Catalan) is a municipality and town in Spain, in the province of Zaragoza, an autonomous community of Aragon. The municipality belongs to the Bajo Cinca region. It is located at the eastern end of the province, bordering those of Huesca and Lérida, at the confluence of the Ebro and Segre rivers, which recently received the waters of the Cinca. The municipality is located in the so-called Franja de Aragón, an area where Catalan is spoken. Mequinenza is located between the Mequinenza and Riba-Roja reservoirs.
