Stock Photo - Noroeste - New quartier being building in Brasilia City - year 2011 The Noroeste Sector is a housing sector of the administrative region of BrasÝlia , in the Federal District . It is the last housing sector to be built in the area listed as historical and cultural patrimony of humanity. It was designed by the architect and urbanist L·cio Costa in his project entitled BrasÝlia Revisited 1985/1987 . [ 1 ] Slightly modified in relation to Costa's proposals, the neighborhood began to be marketed in 2009 and built in 2011, expected to be occupied by 40 thousand people. Located between the North Wing and the Northwest Sector, the Burle Marx Ecological Park has not yet been completed. When the commercialization of the Northwest Sector began, there was a real estate boom in the region. The price of the square meter in the area remained constantly high, being, becoming one of the most expensive of the country. Currently the neighborhood presents the ninth most expensive square meter of the country.
