Stock Photo - Nov. 21, 1953 - British Sculptor completes his bronze statue for -------.: British Sculptor Bainbridge Copnall has just completed his Bronze statue of the late General U Aung San who was assassinated in 1947. The statue was commissioned by the Burma Government, and Mr. Copwall was assisted in the work by Burmese sculptor San Tei - who besides working on the statue donned a uniform and at times acted as model. The statue is 9ft. high and is to be shipped to Burma next month to be erected in the centre of Rangoon. Photo shows Bainbridge Copnall looks at the completed statue at his London studio today.
