A compromise between a luxery lodging for the youth and a modern hotel is representing the new spare-house for the youth in Berlin. The new building, which will be opened on October 19th, contains 350 beds and will takes up in the first rate youth-groups of West-Germany, which are visiting Berlin. In the new hotel for the youth there is a shopping-street, with a day and night opened refreshment-bar, furthermore there are conference-rooms in the cellar and different sportsgrounds. The inside decoration is very suitable,- f.i. the window-sills are also to use as writing-tables. The new hotel got the name 'Ocean-steamer' because the swinging form of its superficies.
