Stock Photo - Oct. 16, 1958 - Historic Sale AT Sotheby's Seven Impressionists Paintings Sold For 81, 000: Seven impressionist paintings were siold for 81,000 in 21 minutes at Saturday's last night, Six of them wil go to American, and the seventh was both by a London dealer. The top price of 20,000 paid for Cezznne's 'Boy in a Red Waistcoat' more than double the world record of 40, 000 paid for a Gaugin in Paris last year. It was both by Mr. George Keller, of the Carstaris Gallery, New York. Van Gogh's 'Public Garden at Arles', sold for 32,000, and Manet's 'Flags in the rue Mosnier'. 13, 000, also beat the old record. The total of 81,000 was another world record. Last night's sale was of pictures from the seated of there New York millions Mr. Jacob Goldschmidit.
