Stock Photo - Parts of Northern England experience heavy snowfall on the first day of spring. Many holiday parks opened for the first weekend of the season but hamlets such as New Hutton in Cumbria showcased wintry scenes more akin to Christmas than the first day of March. Caravaners stepped outside to admire the view whilst bleary-eyed new-born lambs stuck close to their mothers' warmth.
