The building was originally commissioned as the town palace for the Counts of Raxoi and later served as the city hall until its restoration in the 1990s. The building was designed and constructed in a baroque style in 1743, featuring a series of ornate arches and columns. Inside, the grand staircase leads up to a modernist art gallery on the 1st floor. The 2nd and 3rd floors contain impressive stained glass windows and paintings, while the Grand Hall on the 4th floor hosts a variety of lectures and events.
