The Cerro de Peña Muñana, barely 1,048 meters above sea level, is a modest summit located very close to the limits of the Sierra de Gredos, in the southwest of Madrid. At its summit, it has the archaeological remains of an Arab watchtower (which served as a viewpoint and lookout post) and other even older remains, in addition to some of the most beautiful climbing routes in the entire area (almost all of them grade VI and VII).
