Stock Photo - Photograph of Louis Napoleon, Prince Imperial (1856-1879) as a young boy. Born as the heir to the French Imperial throne, Louis was exiled along with his parents following the French defeat in the Franco-Prussian War. He attended Woolwich Military Academy and eventually joined the British army as an observer during the Zulu War of 1879. He was killed while taking part in reconnaissance duty when his party was attacked by Zulus at an apparently abandoned kraal (village).
