Underwing is generally lighter or silvery and backwings more violet blue. Myrmephilous with larvare tended by Myrmica, Lasius or Camponotus ants. Host plants: Coronilla varia, Astragalus glycyphyllos. One or two generations in a season. Found near or in nutrient poor grasslans, abandoned quarries, old vineyards, fallow lands.
