Stock Photo - Royal Schools of tortosa. The Royal Schools are located within the Historic Artistic Complex of the city of Tortosa and are the most important Renaissance monument in Catalonia . In 1974 they were declared a National Monument . The College of San Jaime and San Matías . It is a large two-story building organized around a central courtyard. This courtyard is the first and only Renaissance courtyard in Catalonia , and surely the best work of Catalan Renaissance architecture. It houses the headquarters of the Regional Historical Archive.
