For in it are two seats - made from glazed pottery. Mr. McGuffie found the seats when he moved into Rose Cottage, at Whitrigg, near Torpenhow (Cumberland). Until he cleared the weeds which covered them he thought they were wooden. The seats each weigh two hundred weight, and carries the date 1869. Mr. McGuffie is trying to trace their origin.
