Stock Photo - September 15,1980 - Territorials Join Exercise Crusader 800 Naval Reserve and Army Territorials left London Airport (Heathrow) at the weekend on a VC10 and two Tristars bound for Dusseldorf and Guttersloh to take part in Exercise Crusader. They were part of over 20,000 soldiers of the Territorial Army who left Britain this weekend by sea and air to join more than 10,000 Regulars who started moving to Germany two weeks ago. In a short time the Territorials had left their civilian jobs and were transported to action Stations on the Continent.
