Mosley's activities led to the passing of the Public Order Act 1936, which included the banning of political uniforms and military style organisations. Soon after the Second World War began, Mosley was interned, together with his wife Diana Mitford, and they spent much of the war in a house in the grounds of Holloway Prison, North London.
