Stock Photo - Sisteron is a commune on the banks of the Durance River, just after the confluences of the rivers Buech and Sasse. It lies in a narrow gap between two long mountain ridges _ the Baume/Gache and the Lure Mountain/Moulard. The town´s citadel was built between the 12th and 19th centuries. The walls date from the 14th century.
