Stock Photo - The funeral of Kamil Benes, one of the three Czech soldiers who died in a suicide bomb attack in Afghanistan on August 5, took place at St. John of Nepomuk Church Hluboka nad Vltavou, today, on Thursday, August 16, 2018. The mourning ceremony is also attended by chief of staff Ales Opata. The three killed soldiers will be buried with military honours, requiem and aircraft flights. All three men served at the mechanised battalion in Tabor, south Bohemia. The soldiers died while patrolling in the surroundings of the Bagram military base in the Parwan province. Last week, Defence Minister Lubomir Metnar (ANO) promoted all of them in memoriam. Respecting the wish of the family, the media will not take part in the funeral in the church.
