Stock Photo - The level of the swollen Danube River in the Slovak capital of Bratislava beat the record from 2002, when devastating floods hit Central Europe. River started culminating this afternoon, June 6, 2013, sooner than expected, and it reached 10.34 metres. People have been warned of floods all along the Danube in Slovakia over the heavy rains after which rivers in Austria and Germany overflew their banks last weekend. A new anti-flood system was introduced in Bratislava two years ago. Hundreds of firefighters, policemen and soldiers are prepared to start fighting the flood if needed. (CTK Photo/Jan Koller)
