Stock Photo - The monastery consists of two buildings, the New Monastery, dating from the 17th century, in the Baroque style, and the Old Monastery, from the 10th century, in the Romanesque style. The most important is the marvelous Romanesque Cloister of the Old Monastery. It was built in the 12th century, sheltered under the rock of the mountain. Other parts of the Old Monastery that stand out are the pre_Romanesque church, the paintings of San Cosme and San Damian of the 12th century, the designated Pantheon of Nobles, the superior church, consecrated in 1094, and the Gothic chapel of San Victorian 15th century. The Real Pantheon Royal Pantheon, of Neo_classical style, was erected in the 18th century.
