A Mosque is the place of worship for those who follow Islam. It is a place were Muslims can gather for prayer,as well as learn about the Islamic faith. Mosques are both important as a centre for the community and as a religious centre. The first mosques were simple in style however over a thousand years they have developed and are much more elaborate and are also examples of Islamic architecture.
