Stock Photo - The Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha or Alabaster Mosque is located in the Citadel of Cairo in Egypt and was built by Muhammad Ali Pasha between 1830 and 1848. A Mosque is the place of worship for those who follow Islam. It is a place were Muslims can gather for prayer,as well as learn about the Islamic faith. Mosques are both important as a centre for the community and as a religious centre. The first mosques were simple in style however over a thousand years they have developed and are much more elaborate and are also examples of Islamic architecture.
