Stock Photo - The NATO-established centre of protection against mass destruction weapons opened today, on Wednesday, November 12, 2014, an operational facility, a special computer room with a large-scale screen whose workers will be connected to 2000 scientists the world over. These will help the centre analyse the danger stemming from a possible use of chemical, biological and radioactive substances in the world if need be, centre director Jiri Gajdos (right) told CTK. NATO has set up 24 centres, each of which specialises in a certain military field. It interconnects individual armed forces of the Alliance with scientists from many fields who can help them solve technical difficulties in times of threat. The Vyskov centre is NATO´s facility of its kind. It was opened in 2007 also thanks to the good reputation that Czech military chemists gained in participation in many foreign missions.
