Stock Photo - Two young of the black rhinoceros (Diceros bicornis), the eastern subspecies, threatened with extinction were born a week ago in the Dvur Kralove zoo, its director Premysl Rabas told journalists today.There are about 700 of these animals living in the wild. The new arrivals are the 52nd and 53rd rhino born in the garden, Rabas said.The Dvur Kralove zoo is one of the world´s most successful rhino breeders. Nine-year-old Maisha gave birth to a female (pictured), which weighed 45 kilograms, on January 25. Its father is the 18-years-old Mweru male.The other young, a 37-kilogram male, was born on January 26. Its mother is 30-years-old Jessi and the father is Baringo, 22.
