GAZ, part of there GAZ Group, is the biggest Russian car producer with history dating back to 1932, when the company started manufacturing Ford Model AA light trucks as a cooperative enterprise between Ford Motor Company and the Soviet Union. GAZ become famous for their legendary military jeeps and trucks and also passenger cars Volga, GAZ-M20 Pobeda and Chaika produced in USSR. Nowadays GAZ Group signed a long-term agreement with Volkswagen Group Rus on contract manufacturing at GAZ plant with total investment of EUR200 million.
