Stock Photo - Vyssi Brod Monastery, one of the most important Gothic style landmarks of South Bohemia, is located about 30 km south of Cesky Krumlov on the right bank of the Vltava river. It is a Cistercian monastery that was found in 1259 by Vok I. of Rozemberk. It is the only male Cistercian monastery in Czech Republic that is still operating.
