Stock Photo - Weißenfels is the town richest in population in the Burgenland circle in Saxony-Anhalt with about 40, 000 inhabitants. Since 2010 other eleven districts which were till then independent municipalities belong to the city of Weissenfels. It was a seat of power of the dukedom Saxon Weissenfels which existed from 1656 to 1746.
