The wind farm was completed in 2019. Zinkgruvan Mining is an underground mine in Zinkgruvan in Askersund municipality. The company mines and enriches zinc, lead and copper ore. The mine has been part of the Swedish-Canadian mining group Lundin Mining since 2004. The mine is Sweden´s southernmost underground mine and has been in continuous operation since 1857.
